- How to bid
- Register online with GovEase (registration begins the first week of August) and use its online training. Bidders can enter maximum bids ahead of time; the sale usually lasts five to seven days and runs until all delinquent parcels are sold. Taxes not paid by the last Friday before the sale are auctioned. Card payments carry a separate non-refundable 3% convenience fee. If the owner redeems within two years, the purchaser is repaid the lien amount plus 1.5% interest on it (not on the overbid); after the sale the Tax Collector turns everything over to the Chancery Clerk.
