How to bid
The Municipality sells tax-foreclosed property by sealed bid after the Anchorage Assembly approves a list. Bids are hand-delivered between 8am and 3pm on the published sale date; electronic and mail-in bids are not accepted. Each bid needs a deposit of at least 25% of the bid amount (no cash, personal or company checks), which becomes non-refundable once the purchase agreement is signed. The balance is due by 5 pm on the second Friday after bid closing, by certified check or money order. Property is sold as is and the deed does not guarantee clear title.
