- Based on the Town's notice for its March 12, 2025 tax possession auction: the Treasurer, as Tax Title Custodian, sold town-held tax possession parcels at a public auction held at 78 Linda Street, Abington (one of the parcels), with open house and preregistration starting 30 minutes before. Deposits were set per parcel ($20,000 and $10,000 at that sale), a 7% buyer's premium applied, and the balance was due within 30 days by bank cashier's or certified check unless otherwise announced. Parcels were sold as is, the buyer also paid pro-rata taxes and recording charges, and the Custodian could reject any bid or withdraw a parcel. Terms for any next auction are not posted.
