- Per the Town's tax sale page: the sale is held at the Guilford Town Office, bidders must register before bidding, and the property goes to the highest bidder (the Town may bid if no one else does). The high bidder pays at the sale in cash or by certified check. The owner or any lienholder has one year to redeem (the IRS one year plus 120 days), and the buyer earns interest of up to 12% if the property is redeemed. Deposit: not stated.
