- The county takes bids on tax-forfeited land on the Public Surplus auction website, where each parcel's terms and conditions of sale are posted. Parcels are first offered at the current estimated market value, sold as is with no viewings, and all sales are final. The buyer gets a certificate of sale at purchase and a state deed after full payment; a 3% state assurance fee is collected on the sale price. Deposit and payment method are not stated on the county page.
