- How to bid
- This is not a bidding auction: investors take an assignment of the county's tax lien by paying the delinquent taxes, penalty, interest and costs, and when several want the same parcel the county sets the order by lottery. Liens attach on the first working day of August. Investors mail a Notice of Pending Assignment postmarked August 15 to owners of parcels still delinquent, then deliver receipts, notice copies, payment and an Excel assignment form by noon, August 28th. The assignment fee is $50.00 each. A lottery program sets the order (snake method, one lien per round from each buyer's list); buyers attend in person. Parcels left after the lottery can be bought first come, first served.
