How to bid
Attend the auction in person on the steps of the Brunswick County Courthouse in Bolivia, rain or shine. Winning bidders pay a 5% deposit right after the auction in cash, certified bank check, bank cashier's check or money order (no personal checks, no county financing). A 10-day upset bid period follows; an upset bid must beat the previous bid by 5% or $750, whichever is greater, and is paid to the Clerk of Court at the courthouse. The winning bidder has one week from notification to pay in full and receives a commissioner's deed to record with the Register of Deeds. Properties are sold as is and all sales are final.
