- Under the October 12, 2026 auction rules, the auction was a registered, in-person, oral auction at 501 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland. Bidders signed in on sale day with current photo ID and brought cash or certified funds payable to Multnomah County (no personal or corporate checks) of at least the advertised earnest money for each property, one check per property. Bidding starts at the advertised minimum bid and moves in $1,000 increments; the nonrefundable earnest money is due at the close of bidding and the balance within a few days. Check the rules posted for the December auction.
