- Auctions are in person. Bidders register at the door on auction day by completing a Bidder Registration Form before the 10:00 AM start (doors open 9:00 AM; no late registrations). Bidding starts at the minimum bid, typically 70 percent of the assessed real market value. The winning bidder pays a nonrefundable 20% deposit at the auction in cash, cashier's check or certified funds, with the balance due at closing, typically 30 to 60 days later; the county conveys by quitclaim deed.
