Format: In person
How to bid: Register at the sale site on the day of the sale beginning at 9 am (no pre-registration). Buyers must be present; non-residents of Missouri may not bid unless special arrangements are made with the Collector before the sale. The buyer or appointed agent signs an affidavit of not being delinquent on any tax payments. Bidding begins at the taxes, penalties and sale costs; pay the bid to the Collector by 3:00 p.m. the day of the sale by cashier's check, money order, bank draft or cash (no personal checks or cards). The Collector issues a certificate of purchase (a tax lien), and the property may be redeemed within one year from the certificate's issuance and thereafter until a collector's deed is issued.
