How to bid: Sales are held at the Shenandoah County Government Center, Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, Woodstock. Anyone can attend, but registration is required to bid. The highest bidder wins, signs a purchase contract on the date of sale and pays a deposit of 20% of the bid or $2,000, whichever is more; a buyer's premium may be added, and the purchaser also pays the balance and recording fees. The purchaser tells the Special Commissioner how they want to take title. Questions go to Reid Broughton or Kimberly Cregger at Sands Anderson PC. How to register is not stated.
