How to bid: Online-only tax lien auction on GovEase; no bids by mail, phone or fax. Registration opens three weeks before the auction. Bidding starts at no more than 12% interest and drops in 1% steps to 0%. Winning bidders pay GovEase in full after the auction; each lien carries $45 in fees. Liens can be redeemed any time before a foreclosure judgment, and a certificate expires if foreclosure is not started within 10 years.
