How to bid: Based on the county's 2026 sale documents: the sale was an online auction (direct bid, open live bidding) at Allegany.MarylandTaxSale.com. Bidders registered online during a set window (May 6 to May 20, 2026) and paid a $50 registration fee, which is refundable but not applied to winnings; a 100% deposit or budget of estimated winnings was required. Successful bidders pay the opening bid by 4:00 pm on sale day by ACH bank debit, plus a $10.00 auction fee per property. Redemption interest is not stated. Terms for 2027 are not yet posted.
