Schedule: The sale will be conducted each year on the first Tuesday in June.
How to bid: In-person auction beginning at 9:00am in the rear of the Washington County Office Building, 35 West Washington Street, Hagerstown. Bidders must pre-register; forms are posted on the county website each April 23rd and registration closes at 3:00pm on the Friday before the sale. The 2026 notice required payment of the opening bid amount by 2:00pm on the day of sale. Redemption interest is 6% a year. A bidder registration fee or deposit is not stated.
