Oklahoma tax sales

deed state

In Oklahoma, each county treasurer sells real estate with long-delinquent property taxes at an annual resale, which state law sets for the second Monday of June in every county. The real estate is sold at public auction to the highest bidder for cash or certified funds, and the treasurer may choose to hold the June resale as an online auction. Property bid off in the county's name is deeded by the county treasurer to the board of county commissioners. Owners who redeem delinquent taxes pay interest at the lawful rate set in Section 2913 of the tax code; minors and incapacitated persons may redeem within one year after their disability ends, with interest and penalty capped at ten percent a year.
