How to bid: A tax resale is the outright purchase of property on which taxes are delinquent: property is auctioned to the highest bidder, with bidding starting at all delinquent taxes, penalties, fees and costs. Unsold property is deeded to the county and may later be sold on a bid subject to approval by the Board of County Commissioners: the bidder places a deposit with the Treasurer to cover advertising, the property is auctioned to the highest bidder for cash or certified funds, and the winner pays any further advertising costs and County Clerk recording fees (any unused deposit is refunded). Tax deed fee (resale or certificate): $10.00. Registration terms not stated.
