How to bid
Pre-register using the form linked from the Tax Commissioner's Tax Sale page. Sales are public auctions in the Bryan Room of the Savannah Civic Center; the opening bid covers all taxes, penalties and costs, and a recognized bid is binding. Pay by cash, money order or certified check; the office requires payment by 2:00 p.m. on sale day. The deed gives defeasible title only, and the buyer may not take possession for twelve months.
