How to bid
Register as a bidder in person or online (pre-registration form linked from the Tax Sales page) and bring a valid state-issued photo ID, which is exchanged for a bidding paddle. The sale starts at 10:00 AM on the courthouse steps at 9151 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro. Winning bidders fill in the Winning Bidder's Form at the sale and pay with certified funds (cash, money order or cashier's check) at the Property Tax Office, 121 S. McDonough St., between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM that day; unpaid properties are re-offered at 3:30 PM, and a bidder who fails to pay can be barred for six months. The office gives no further property information, so research parcels yourself.
