Pre-register online (opens 3 weeks before the sale), then get a bidder card at the Delinquent Tax Office, 118 Benson Street, or on sale day at the Civic Center; a valid government-issued photo ID is required. The Tax Collector enters the opening bid for the Forfeited Land Commission. Winning bids are paid in full on the sale date by cash, cashier's check, money order or electronic wire; an unpaid bid draws a $500 fine per bid.
