How to bid: Register with the Delinquent Tax Collector Office before the sale (no bid numbers are issued on sale day), bringing a valid driver's license or other acceptable ID and an IRS Form W-9; bidding costs a $10.00 nonrefundable fee. Property is auctioned in alphabetical order with tax map number to the highest bidder, using the bid cards provided. Bids must be paid in cash, money order or certified check by close of business on the day of the sale, and there are no refunds of bid money. The defaulting taxpayer has one year and one day to redeem, with interest of 3%, 6%, 9% or 12% depending on the quarter of the redemption period.
