How to bid
Turn in the original, signed Bidder Registration Form at the Delinquent Tax Office by 5:00 on the Monday before the sale; the county accepts no emailed or online registrations and none on sale day. The tax sale list runs in the local newspaper for 3 weeks before the sale and is posted on the county page; an unofficial list goes up by 6:00 pm the Friday before. The sale is held in person at the Performing Arts Center in Liberty, with doors opening at 9:00 and bidding at 10:00 a.m. The taxpayer has a one-year redemption period, and if the property is redeemed the buyer gets the money back with interest. Deposit and payment terms for bidders are not stated on the page read.
