- Pre-register with the Tax Claim office (the 2026 window was June 1 to July 2). Arrive one hour before the Judicial Sale to get a bidder number. Bids start at the costs accrued on each property, and full payment is due on all purchases the day of sale: cash (larger bills), money orders, cashier's checks, or personal check with a letter of credit, payable to Wayne County Tax Claim. Deposit not stated. Office hours Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
