How to bid
Tax sales run online on the Sheriff's RealAuction site; bidders register and set up an account there first. Payment is due after the sale by 2:00 P.M. by cashier's check or money order payable to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, one per property, at the County Courthouse, 500 E. San Antonio. Winning bidders get a Certificate of Eligibility that must be filed with the City Tax Office before a deed is issued.
