How to bid: Register on the county's auction site before the deadline, complete the IRS W-9 and User Agreement, and make a deposit of at least 10% of what you plan to spend (deposits and payments by ACH). Bid a premium; winners pay the advertised total (tax, interest, advertising fee and an $18 certificate fee) plus the premium, which is not refunded and earns no interest. The county states the 2026 interest rate is 13%.
