How to bid: Register to bid through the Iowa Tax Auction website linked from the Treasurer's Property Tax page. Delinquent taxes are advertised in June in the Newton Daily News; parcels are listed in parcel number order with a sequence number for bidding. Copies of the list are available at the Treasurer's Office and a printout may be purchased. The investor is responsible for all research on parcels. Redemption interest is 2% per month.
