How to bid: All bids are placed online through iowataxauction.com; the sale is also held in the Public Meeting Room on the second floor of the Story County Administrative Building, 900 Sixth St., Nevada. Per the 2026 terms, registration ran May 18 to June 11, 2026 with a non-refundable $36.00 registration fee by ACH debit. Each parcel starts at a 100% undivided interest and the certificate goes to the bidder who designates the smallest percentage when the sale closes at 10:30 a.m. The total due is collected by ACH debit from the registration account.
