- The sale is online through the Iowa Tax Auction site; no mailed or emailed registrations are accepted. To bid, register online, pay a non-refundable $40.00 registration fee by ACH debit and complete the online W-9 form. For 2026, registration ran May 18 to June 11, with all steps due by 11:59 p.m. on June 11. Qualifying unpaid parcels are published once in the county's official publication in the last week of May; the updated list is refreshed nightly and viewable after registering. Deposit: not stated.
