How to bid: Register to bid through the Iowa Tax Auction website linked from the Treasurer's Property Tax page. Taxes delinquent as of May 1 are advertised in June in the Tama-Toledo News Chronicle; parcels are listed in parcel number order with a sequence number for bidding. Copies of the list are available at the Treasurer's Office and a printout may be purchased. The investor is responsible for all research on parcels. Redemption interest is 2% per month.
