- Third-party purchasers register with the County Clerk by the posted deadline (August 1 for the 2026 sale) and submit priority lists with full payment, or current-year lists with a 25% deposit, in person or by mail (no fax or email). Payment is by cashier's, certified or company check, plus a $30.00 lien assignment fee per certificate. The sale is held at the Courthouse, Courtroom E, as a serpentine-style lottery in rounds, with one representative per company.
