How to bid: Register with the County Clerk and submit the registration form, fees and deposit by the posted deadline (purchasers must also register with the Department of Revenue by its deadline). The deposit is 100% of the value of each certificate on the purchaser's priority list and 25% of each current-year certificate; registration fees are $5.00 per priority certificate and $10.00 per current certificate (total not to exceed $250.00), plus $30.00 per certificate for assignment and recording of the lien. The sale is held at the Woodford County Courthouse, 103 South Main Street, Versailles, and run like a professional sports draft: order of selection is set by random drawing and each purchaser may buy one certificate per round. Payment by cash, cashier's check, money order or debit/credit card. Sale questions go to the Clerk's office at 859-873-3421.
