How to bid
Submit the registration form with a W-9 and a $500 deposit payable to the Madison County Treasurer by the deadline. The sale is conducted by Joseph E. Meyer & Associates using R.A.M.S. 2 (Randomize Auction Management System). Tax buyer lists are available starting January 22, 2027. The Treasurer's FAQ says penalty bids start high and go down (18% to 0%).
