How to bid
Register with the Treasurer at least 10 business days before the sale (registration opens about 90 days before) with name, address, phone, tax ID or SSN and the Tax Sale Registration Form. Bids are interest rates between 0% and 9%, and the lowest rate wins. Per-purchase costs listed: $10 publication, $4 clerk, $10 automation, $60 collector's tax fee fund, $20 indemnity. Delinquency lists are $100 from the Treasurer after publication. Unsold parcels go to the County Trustee (Auction Sale Department, 618-656-5744).
