How to bid
Mail a completed Tax Sale Registration Form, a signed W-9 and a $500 registration fee (returned on sale day) to the Treasurer before the deadline; the tax sale list is an optional $200, in separate checks payable to the McHenry County Collector. Registered buyers must be present on the day of the sale. Bidding is in declining order down from 9%, run on RAMS. These details are from the 2025 sale and may change.
