Upcoming sales

The Sheriff Sales page (read 2026-10-28) links a document titled 'November Tax Sale' but gives no dated tax sale on the page itself; the list is not linked here because sale lists name owners. The page says tax sales are held at 10 a.m. on the first Friday of the month (summarized by our reader, not quoted).

How to bid
Tax foreclosure sales stay in person at the county courthouse in Jefferson; other sheriff sales run online. The minimum (starting) bid is the delinquent taxes plus all court costs, and a parcel that does not sell is offered again at a second sale. Bids must be spoken aloud by the bidder. Third-party purchasers pay in full on the day of the sale, by cashier's check payable to the Ashtabula County Sheriff's Office, by 3 p.m. Every purchaser completes a Real Estate Judicial Sale Purchaser Information Form; the Sheriff's page also asks for a valid photo ID.
