- How to bid
- Tax sales are held in person at the Sheriff's Office, 4470 State Route 222, Batavia, starting at 10am; a bid counts only once the auctioneer acknowledges and announces it, with $100 minimum increments. Third-party buyers pay a 10% down payment at the time of purchase (cash or personal check) and the balance within thirty calendar days of the payment letter by certified check, cashier's check or money order. The Sheriff cannot transfer title until the purchaser files the required delinquent-tax affidavit. Properties cannot be viewed. Foreclosure (non-tax) sales are online on the county's RealAuction site.
