How to bid: Delinquent tax sales are held in person in the courtroom off the lobby of the Portage County Justice Center on Mondays at 11:00 AM. Deposits for tax sales are 10% of the bid, and the page says cashier checks only are accepted. The unpaid balance is due to the Portage County Sheriff by cashier's check within thirty days of the filing of the confirmation entry. Mortgage foreclosure sales (not tax sales) are run online on the state's Official Public Sheriff's Sale Website operated by RealAuction, with separate deposit rules.
