How to bid: Tax deeds: register on the online tax deed sale site before bidding. The successful high bidder must have a non-refundable deposit of at least 5% of the final bid or $200, whichever is greater, settled in the Clerk's account by 3:00 p.m. the day before the sale; ACH deposits must be made at least four business days before. The rest of the bid is due at the Clerk's Office within 24 hours after the sale, plus recording fees and documentary stamps. Tax certificates: the Tax Collector's sale is held online through LienHub on or before June 1st; bidding starts at 18% and the lowest interest rate wins.
