Schedule: In Sarasota County, Tax Deed auctions are conducted online Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, beginning at 9:00 A.M. EST/EDT

How to bid: Tax deeds: register for an online auction account on the official tax deed sale site. A deposit of guaranteed funds equal to 5% of your winning bid or $200, whichever is greater, must be in your auction account before the auction starts. The balance is due by the date and time stated in your winning confirmation email. Proxy bidding means you need not be online at the exact sale time. Auctions can be cancelled or postponed at any point. Tax certificates: the Tax Collector's sale is a reverse auction on LienHub; bidders must pre-register (registration opens in early May) and no deposit is required.
