Schedule: Tax Deed Sales are generally held several times per month on Wednesdays at 12:00 PM EST.
Auction site: ZeusAuction (SRI) for tax certificates; tax deed sales are in person (we link to it; we don't copy its listings)
How to bid: Tax deeds: sales are in person at the Richard O. Watson Judicial Center; no registration is required, arrive 15 minutes before the 12:00 PM start, and you or a representative must be present. The winning bidder pays a non-refundable deposit of $200 or 5% of the winning bid, whichever is greater, at the time of sale in cash or certified funds (no personal checks or cards), and the balance within 24 hours; failure to pay forfeits the deposit. Tax certificates: the Tax Collector's sale is held online; the bidder willing to accept the lowest rate of interest is awarded the certificate, and payment is by ACH within 48 hours of the end of the sale.
